The written registration must be sent to the Ponyhof Georgenbruch filled in completely as well as signed.
Your child is definitely registered only after the confirmation of your registration.
Arrival is due between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.; departure between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.. We request you to de-register your child/children on the day of departure in our office. Please check the luggage for possibly missing items, such as jackets, riding caps or other personal belongings. Children arriving by train can be picked up at the train station in Warendorf.
The children will be supervised and taken care of by ourselves and our friendly assistants around the clock.
We will always lend them an ear in case of problems and wishes.
In the event of health problems, a doctor will be consulted and the parents will be notified.
Please supply your child with a marked A5 envelope containing a vaccination card (or a copy), health insurance card, address and phone number plus your holiday address (if necessary).
Please also supply information about possible health problems, allergies and/or medical incompatibilities etc.
All the rooms of our house are equipped with smoke detectors linked to the local fire-fighting centre.
A fire alarm is automatically forwarded to the local fire department. Therefore, lighters, candles, joss sticks or cigarettes are strictly forbidden. The possible costs of a false fire alarm will be charged to the parents’ account.
Guest boxes can be rented for your own horse or pony. The horse passport, vaccination certificate and an up-to-date health certificate must be supplied by the horse’s owner/rider.
Special riding attire will not be necessary except a good riding cap (please supply this cap with a legible nametag). For beginners, a safe bicycle helmet will do. Moreover, your child’s luggage should contain: jeans, rain jacket, wellingtons, sneakers, house-shoes, swimsuit with bathing towel, bed sheets with duvet cover and pillow cover, washing/toilet things (towels will be supplied). For the summer months we recommend sun-cover lotion and insect repellent, for the winter season warm gloves as well as warm socks. We also recommend to nametag all your child’s belongings.
In our house-kiosk a small selection of sweets, refreshments, postcards and stamps can be bought.
We provide four daily meals, which are suited to the needs and the children’s taste. Various refreshments will be served. As the children are well fed and well catered for and also have the possibility to buy sweets and refreshments in a reasonable way, we do ask you not to supply your children with his kind of food, particularly NO instant drinks or chewing gum, please!
Extra trainig for the “Hufeisen, Reiterpass, Basispass” as well as the “Reitabzeichen” will be done in riding courses especially advertised.
We are equipped with an indoor riding arena (20m x 40m), an outdoor riding and jumping arena (55m x 65m) as well as a 2 2,500 m2 training area with cross-country obstacles and a spacious terrain around our farm for riding out.
Riding lessons and/or riding out take place twice a day. The children will ride in groups on Shetland Ponies or “Deutsche Reitponies” meeting your child’s riding abilities or his/her personal height. We are the breeders of all our Shetland Ponies and “Deutsche Reitponies” which have a height between 1m and 1,5m.
We will organise trips to the “adventure pool” in Everswinkel. The entry fee will be charged on your final bill on your child’s day of departure. Please notify us if your child is a non-swimmer.
We ask you to refrain from phoning your child because a possible homesickness can be increased in this way. Instead please rather write a short letter or a postcard. The children will live in the main building of our estate in friendly rooms with 4-6 beds.
A special accident insurance is included in the overall price for accommodation.
As soon as you register for a course, you are obliged to pay for the complete amount of your child’s course, even if it doesn’t take part in it.
